Data Commons

A collaborative effort among organizations who share a mission of building and supporting the development of a cooperative economy to develop an accurate, comprehensive, public database of cooperative economic initiatives in North America.

American Worker Cooperative

A contemporary history of the worker cooperative movement in the United States accumulating an inventory of people, organizations, writings, media, and some synthesis. Some articles report current events, others are a curated collection of materials from the recent past. Recent content includes:

Democracy at Work Network

A project to share the experience and knowledge of seasoned worker cooperators with other worker cooperatives, other cooperative sectors, startup projects, and organizations and groups exploring worker cooperative development. Worker cooperatives, developers, and startup projects can call DAWN to request low-cost technical assistance in a variety of areas, from cooperative finances to democratic capacity-building, to worker cooperative 101 trainings. Training and information is provided by peer advisors who are members of the network, who work or have worked in worker cooperatives and have a practical lived experience of the topics on which they provide training and advice.

Grassroots Economic Organizing

A collective of educators, researchers and grassroots activists working to promote an economy based on democratic participation, worker and community ownership, social and economic justice, and ecological sustainability through grassroots journalism.
